Vontier Production Manager in Janesville, Wisconsin

As Production Manager, you will primarily be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of CNG/RNG & Hydrogen production departments in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and staff members. The Production Manager is also responsible for championing VBS (Vontier Business Systems) and Continuous improvement throughout the production department in collaboration with VBS and Operations leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Plan production, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

  • Actively engage the workforce through Safety Observations

  • Prepare schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

  • Review production reports and resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent manufacturing delays.

  • Assist the VP, Operation and VBS in identifying facility and equipment requirements, and manage safety and environmental issues related to production

  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Resolve worker problems and performance issues and submit unsettled issues to the Human Resources Department for action.

  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Supervisory experience required

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and working with KPI's for daily improvement

  • Comfortable with OSHA guidelines and accountability
