JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Performs all functions of pharmaceutical care required of a staff pharmacist. Organizes pharmacy activities to ensure quality service. Assists the director and/or manager with the development and implementation of policies and procedures, process improvement projects and performance standards. Provides direction to the staff in the daily pharmacy operations. Provides input and is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the pharmacy budget. Performs other duties as assigned. Staff primarily as a hospital pharmacist but may be required to work in other functions of the pharmacy operations in support of the department. Is an expert hospital pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience. Provides staff development and education in area of hospital pharmacy. Participates in formulating pharmacy policies and procedures in the provision of pharmaceutical care. Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation. Maintains oversight of partner training, adherence to annual education and certification requirements. Collaborates with manager on oversight of daily operations. Assists with partner performance appraisal. Facilitates problem resolution.
