JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview The Director of Technology Innovation and Artificial Intelligence is responsible for providing technology that will enable the transformation of Mercyhealth into a consumer-focused enterprise by leveraging both technology and digital health resources to create an environment that fosters customer centricity, service quality and innovation in a quest to better fulfill patient care and business objectives. This individual will provide strategic and thought leadership in establishing the next generation of services and in defining new ways to develop and implement technology to solve Mercyhealth business challenges. We believe that digital innovation, particularly AI-enabled solutions, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the consumer and employee experience, driving improved consumer satisfaction, organizational agility, and efficiency gains for the enterprise. Technology-based solutions, powered by AI, have the capability to significantly reduce manual processing of repeatable and predictable tasks, freeing up the workforce to engage in more complex and/or strategic engagements. The Director of Technology Innovation and Artificial Intelligence will lead the strategic development and implementation of software and AI-driven solutions in collaboration with executive and clinical leaders from across the enterprise. This role requires a visionary leader with a broad and deep understanding of the current technology landscape. The right candidate will have a broad portfolio of leadership in the areas of innovation, digital delivery, cloud strategy, and user experience. This individual will lead initiatives and solutions that will support the clinical, operations, customer satisfaction and administrative objectives by building new [and transforming existing] tools, platforms, technologies, services, and processes to meet the future needs of patients and the health system. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Digital Innovation: Build and lead a self-sustaining innovation function to evaluate and incubate emerging technology solutions and services that drive innovation through technology investments in support of both strategic and market priorities. Showcase future technologies to engage the workforce in open collaboration for the purpose of creating, elaborating, and prototyping new solutions and technologies without the fear of failure. People Development: Develop leaders and staff who can provide the modern digital capabilities necessary to proactively engage consumers and patients to promote better health outcomes, empower consumers and improve experiences through personalized engagement and patient self-service.
