Description
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be primarily involved in accounting for payroll, payroll taxes, and benefits, which includes extensive analysis and resolution of reconciling items. You will also be responsible for preparing & analyzing balance sheets and income statements for a select group of operations.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze, reconcile, and resolve payroll, payroll taxes, and benefits.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to review and resolve issues.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets and income statements for a select group of operations.
• Reconcile and research various activities from payroll and human resources systems.
• Interface with local accountants to understand activity recorded to each operation.
• Prepare or review account analyses and necessary journal entries to adjust account balances.
• Identify areas or processes that can be improved or made more efficient.
• Prepare or review certain SOX controls.
• Perform ad hoc research on accounts or operations under accountants responsibility.
• Perform and prepare analyses and reports as requested by management.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant
• Proficiency in Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting is required
• Demonstrated experience with Workday ERP is important
• Ability to Prepare Balance Sheets and Income Statements is necessary
• Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
• CPA certification is preferred
• Must have a strong understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work is essential
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required
• Should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on information at hand.
