This role will directly support our Logistics business groups and has the option to be domiciled either out of our Coppell, TX or Jacksonville, FL offices.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for supporting the talent acquisition team to successfully hire strong talent for Suddath and provide an exceptional candidate experience. This position will assist in various capacities throughout the recruitment process in areas of candidate review and screening, interview scheduling, job requisition management, and the offer and pre-employment process. This role will build strong partnerships with our frontline managers in order to support the operation’s staffing needs. This role will report directly to the Senior Recruiter and will focus primarily on hourly frontline operations, administrative, and operational supervisor level vacancies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and tactics.

  • Screen resumes in accordance with guidelines from hiring managers.

  • Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates.

  • Administer the offer and pre-employment process to identified candidates, including offer letters, applicant skills assessments, drug screenings, and background checks in accordance with company requirements.

  • Review status of Pre-Employments screenings and communicate next steps to appropriate team member.

  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and follow up on interview process status.

  • Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved.

  • Communicate employer information and benefits during screening process.

  • Stay current on the company’s organization structure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

  • Serve as a liaison with employment agencies.

  • Attend recruiting events as needed.

  • Monitor Job Requisitions/Job Postings, partnering with the HR Support team as necessary.

  • Create and review various recruiting and staffing reports.

  • Assist with special projects within the HR team as needed

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a recruiting dedicated role is required. Experience with Workday ATS preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and effectively use HRIS/ATS applications. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise good judgment in dealing with sensitive information. Ability to utilize independent judgement. Knowledge of legal requirements and standards around recruiting practices. Ability to work effectively in a team. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a changing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write on a professional level. Comfortable communicating with a range of employees and managers.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is performed climate-controlled environment in an office setting with adequate ventilation. Position may be assigned to an on-site facility where exposure to warehouse working conditions is possible.
