About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network & Systems Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our critical network and systems infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT environment, while also contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Microsoft Infrastructure Management: Expert-level administration and support of Microsoft Windows Server environments (including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy), Exchange Server, SharePoint, and other relevant Microsoft technologies.

· Network Administration: Design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks. Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network security best practices is essential.

· Systems Administration: Management and support of server hardware, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and backup/recovery systems.

· Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's data and systems. This includes vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, and security audits.

· SASE Management: Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the organization's SASE solution. This includes configuring and monitoring security policies (e.g., firewall as a service, secure web gateway, cloud access security broker), managing network connectivity (e.g., SD-WAN), ensuring user access control, and troubleshooting any issues related to the SASE platform. Continuously evaluate and optimize the SASE environment to meet evolving business needs and security threats (e.g., CATO Networks, FortiSASE)

· Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve network and system issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.

· Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Optimize system configurations1 and performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network and system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.2

· Project Management: Participate in IT projects, including planning, implementation, and execution.

· Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors for support, maintenance, and procurement of hardware and software.

· Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.

· On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

· 5+ years of experience4 in network and systems administration with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.

· Extensive experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Exchange Server, SharePoint, and other relevant Microsoft products.

· Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).

· Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Relevant certifications (e.g.,MCSA, MCSE, CCNA) are a plus.

· Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.

· Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) are a plus.
