Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to provide ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts. The individual will coordinate daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction, ensuring projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This role involves managing construction budgets, tracking costs, and submitting invoices timely, while maintaining detailed daily log reports. Safety is a top priority, and the superintendent will ensure all parties follow OSHA and company safety procedures and practices. Additionally, the role requires conducting pre-installation safety evaluations, ensuring the availability and proper working order of machinery and tools, scheduling necessary inspections, monitoring construction quality, and maintaining consistent communication with project management staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff.

  • Coordinate daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction.

  • Complete all project construction in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.

  • Manage construction budgets, track construction costs, and submit invoices timely.

  • Prepare daily log reports detailing site conditions, manpower, and activities.

  • Ensure all parties follow OSHA and company safety procedures and practices.

  • Conduct pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors.

  • Ensure appropriate machinery and tools are available and in proper working order.

  • Schedule and participate in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations.

  • Organize final inspections for completed work.

  • Monitor daily construction procedures to ensure proper quality is achieved.

  • Maintain consistent daily communication with project management staff.

  • Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company procedures.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7 years of construction experience within Commercial, Multifamily, or Healthcare.

  • Proven track record of finishing projects with a minimum of five years of construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.

  • Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, and layout.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement.

  • Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors, and equipment.

  • Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with project values up to $5 million+.

  • Prior experience with scheduling software is a plus.

  • Great communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working at a Assisted Living Facility in Ponte Vedra. This role may require out-of-town travel. The company offers a $500/month truck allowance, good work/life balance, gas card, and potential for an annual bonus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
