SUMMARY: *Responsible for the negotiation and administration requirements of long-term, high-dollar value, and/or blanket purchase contracts. *GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *Administers activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or services. Negotiates contract with customer or bidder. Examines performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs of material, equipment, and production to ensure completeness and accuracy. Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids. Provides bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required. Comply with contract administration requirements by preparing and issuing billings to customers promptly and accurately. Follow up with Collections to ensure payment is received. Review new contracts and issue extracts identifying responsible parties and billable events. Provide administrative insight into new business ventures and geographies. Participate in development of contract proposals and review of draft contracts to ensure contracts are "administrable." Work with operations personnel to ensure proper data flow. Participates in development of contract proposals and review of draft contracts to ensure ease of contract administration *EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience interpreting and administering contracts; transportation related experience preferred. Must have 3 years federal contracts experience with medium to large contractors. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: *Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint. *JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments. WORKING CONDITIONS: *Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
