Job Description:The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine seeks candidates for Critical Care Medicine at non-tenure accruing level of Assistant, Associate, Full Professor.

This position involves both clinical responsibilities and academic duties within our critical care unit. The ideal candidate will be committed to teaching, supervising, and mentoring residents and fellows, as well as engaging in ongoing clinical research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in the intensive care unit.

  • Teach and supervise residents and fellows in critical care medicine.

  • Develop and lead educational programs and workshops for critical care trainees.

  • Conduct and publish original research in the field of critical care medicine.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and peer review processes.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in critical care and implement best practices in clinical and teaching activities.

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable; commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have a MD/DO with board certification in Critical Care Medicine, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred track record in medical education and research
