GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This role is responsible for performing all necessary janitorial tasks for the Jackson Mfg facility to present a world class manufacturing image for employees and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and maintain common areas including offices, meeting rooms, restrooms and break rooms.

• Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpeted areas.

• Operating floor scrubber on concrete floors.

• Wiping down tables in break rooms and ensuring overall cleanliness of break rooms.

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of all bathroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.

• Collecting trash, recycling, and debris and taking to the appropriate disposal area and sorting accordingly.

• Tracking inventory of cleaning products and coordinating to order more as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Possess strong organizational skills.

• Must be able to work flexible hours.

• Must be able to work overtime with little notice.

• Must be customer focused.

• Able to work 8 hours on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prior work experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances and how to maintain them preferred.

• Understanding of safety protocols such as disposal of chemicals and other hazardous items preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
