Baptist Memorial Millwright-Lead - JS Plant Operations Facility Services MBMC in Jackson, Mississippi
Summary
Manages and performs all activities of the Cabinet Shop associated with the fabrication of millwork. Exposed to general wood working conditions of dust and equipment hazards with frequent high noise levels. Good math skills required. Ability to perform paperwork responsibilities in precise, legible manner. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Supervises all assigned staff in a manner to ensure quality and quantity of millwork production. Performs all tasks necessary for the fabrication of finished millwork. Ensures all standard safety practices for woodworking and shop environments are effected daily to ensure a safe working environment. 20 %
Maintains and controls the ongoing inventory of materials and supplies necessary for millwork production. Develops and provides records in various categories to ensure documentation of data as required. Places materials orders and works with vendors to insure high quality, cost effective purchases. 20 %
Must be able to read blueprints, sketches and specifications. Implement programs and train staff as necessary. Work to complete educational units outlined by Education Services. 20 %
Exhibits a positive, cheerful attitude toward customers. Uses proper telephone procedures in a courteous manner. Anticipates and/or responds to customer needs. Takes ownership of problems. Is a team player. Adheres to established BMHCC dress code at all times. Is prompt and reliable. 20 %
Attends required staff meetings and in-services. Shares information with others when requested. Seeks clarification and additional knowledge. Identifies self-learning needs. Assists in the orientation of others when requested. 10 %
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Experience
Minimum: 7 years Operations - Carpenter Required with 3 years Operations - Carpenter-Millwork Production Required.
