Senior Associate Accountant
, Pinion, LLC in Jackson, Missouri. Provide professional accounting services to clients predominantly in production agriculture and auto dealership industry, including the following duties: create, compile, analyze and report financial data; compute and project taxes owed using accounting software and assist in developing tax planning strategies, manage tax preparation and filing; design, analyze and document processes and utilization of technology, to update for efficiencies and plan for continuous improvement; raw data to usable formats and merge data from multiple sources for financial analysis and reporting; manage relationships with clients and provide assistance and consultation as needed in a timely manner; plan and lead projects in collaboration with team members; participate in training new staff members; maintain knowledge of current tax issues, agricultural current events, new software, processes and tax codes and regulations. Supervisory duties: supervise bookkeepers and accountants. Travel to client sites required (approximately 20% of time).
Requires Bachelors degree in Accounting or closely related field; Missouri CPA license; 24 months experience in public accounting; and advanced MS Excel skills, demonstrated by use of Vlookup, Hlookup, Pivot Tables, Charts and Analysis, Merge Data, IFFunctions, Conditional Formatting, Cross Reference Table, Data Filter and Sort; expertise in tax and audit and assurance, including the ability to review client financial information, organize it, and problem solve issues or concerns; expertise in compilation and review engagements; ability to articulate complex financial information to clients and staff; expertise in working with clients in production agriculture including; developing tax planning strategies; expertise in working with clients in the auto dealership industry, including understanding the various line items in an auto deal; expertise in preparation and review of sales and use, as well as payroll taxation; expertise in preparation and review of individual and entity tax returns, including multi-state and consolidated corporate returns; knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero as well as CCH products FX Engagement and Access Tax software, Frazer DMS software and Microsoft Dynamics 365; knowledge of lean process improvement, including documentation and refining of internal processes and procedures.
