Elite Resources Premier Staffing Trailer Mechanic in Jackson, Georgia
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing trailers to ensure they are in safe and working condition. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems - Conduct brake inspections and repairs, including air brake systems - Troubleshoot and repair trailer lighting systems - Weld and solder components as needed - Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance - Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Trailer Mechanic or similar role - Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques - Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems - Experience with diesel engine repair is preferred - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics - Familiarity with HVAC systems in trailers is a plus - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices - Experience working with industrial equipment is beneficial
Skills: - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or drivers - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Good communication skills to effectively explain repairs or maintenance needs
