Tompkins Community Action Housing Inspector in Ithaca, New York
Housing Inspector The Housing Inspector is responsible for completing Housing Quality Standard (HQS) inspections of units receiving rental assistance in order to ensure the property meets the standards of decent, safe, and sanitary as defined by Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the New York State Homes and Community Renewal (NYS HCR). Responsibilities include completing unit inspections, all related communication and correspondence necessary for follow up and program reporting. Minimum Qualifications · At least one year experience completing home inspections or conducting home visits · Meet TCAction criteria for satisfactory driver’s license in order to access agency owned vehicles for program related activities · Preference given to applicants who hold the HCV Housing Quality Standards Specialist certification
Minimum Salary: 17.85 Maximum Salary: 17.85 Salary Unit: Hourly
