Texas Instruments Field Applications Engineering Intern - Alternative to FPGA for High-Speed data acquisition - Paris, France in Issy les Moulineaux, France

Description

We can't predict what the future holds, but we know Texas Instruments will have a part in shaping it.

Are you an early technology adopter and want a glimpse of the latest products before anyone else? A Technical Sales Engineer internship may be a fit for you. Combine your technical skills with selling and marketing skills to help our customers solve their most challenging problems, and to develop and deliver innovative solutions across various end equipments. Technical Sales Engineers at TI work directly with customers to ensure TI technologies are in the world’s next-generation innovations.

Internship Context:

Various applications using High Speed Data Converters (higher than 10Msps) used to perform the acquisition and the data processing through a FPGA. Even though several matrix sizes are offered on the market, customers are willing to explore other alternatives and innovative solutions, motivated by a cost reduction.

Subject:

The goal of the internship is to familiarize with our Sitara Processor family (AM642x and AM644x) as well as our High-Speed Data Converters (ADS412x up to 125-MSPS or more); to address the interface challenge:

You will have to determine the exact limitations due to the data converters bandwidth (number of channels, resolution and speed), to be directly connected to the Processor, using its Programmable Real-time Unit and the Industrial Communication Subsystem (PRU-ICSS) interface.

As an outcome of your internship, you will summarize and aggregate your analysis by editing a dedicated Application Note; and depending on your success and skills, you will manage the conception of a Graphical User Interface (GUI), to ease our customer journey in their implementation. This could also involve the design and layout of an electronic board, to build a direct connection between our current demo boards.

As concrete field actions, you will be able to promote this innovative architecture to our customer base, addressing various end applications such as the Wireless Communications Infrastructures, Software-Defined Radios, Medical Imaging and MRI, as well as numerous Test and Measurement use cases.

If successful during your internship, it may lead to you being hired as a graduate Analog Field Applications Engineer in 2024.

The team you will join:

In this role you’ll be part of a team of System, Business Unit, field sales and field application Engineers who are working with customers to help them be successful and generate revenue growth. This is achieved by identifying projects early and working closely with the customer to solve their engineering challenges.

You can also rely on additional internal support from Processor, system and software experts in an international environment.

The intern will own his project as a mean to learn as well as express her/himself.

Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.
