Position Summary
As a “Category Supply Planner”, you will be responsible for building robust supply plans for our Pontarlier Nesquik factory. In this role, you will ensure that finished goods are available with the highest quality, at the right stock location to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost. This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across different areas of our business including: factory planning, production, quality, procurement, finance, demand & supply planning teams across several markets, and strategic projects.
A day in a life of a Category Supply Planner
Establish the 18-month optimal supply plan and net dispatch requirements to ensure Customer Service and satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints.
Liase with the production planner (MPS) to create a committed capacity and ensure an optimal constrained plan, including timing proposals for plant shutdowns, investments, trials for new product development etc. own the stock cover strategy and the reliability of the projections
Establish and periodically review stock policies for Finished Goods with the usage of tools and best practices (e.g. Stock Optimizer)
Liase and challenge Demand Planners to improve Demand Planning Accuracy and volume forecasts
Ensures proper Master Data settings and Event Management related SNP visibility (launches, re-launches, discontinuations)
Coordinate annual Volume Commitment and own key volume inputs for the factory budgeting process
What will make you successful?
Relevant operational experience at market/business level, in at least one of the following areas: D&SP, Purchasing, Logistics, Factory production or supply chain
Fluent in English and French
Analytical skills
Demonstrable experience of managing multiple stakeholders both externally and internally
Ability to balance priorities and to see the bigger picture beyond the scope of your job
Excellent communication skills and being able to challenge the status quo
