EPAM Systems Lead Network Engineer in Irving, Texas

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage our Cloud network infrastructure (GCP). The ideal candidate will also have experience with AppGate, a Network Access Control (NAC) solution, to secure and manage user access to the network. Req.#801944099

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), routing, network security services, load balancing, and Cloud DNS

  • Set up hybrid connectivity through Cloud Interconnect and Cloud VPN

  • Create and manage entitlements in AppGate to define access to specific network resources based on identity, location, device health, and other contextual factors

  • Add and manage IP addresses within the AppGate system to ensure proper network access control

  • Manage AppGate entitlements for users and device access

  • Troubleshoot latency issues and performance degradation within the AppGate platform

  • Perform maintenance and quarterly patching of AppGate controllers and gateways

  • Ensure systems remain compliant with security standards and maintain optimal performance

Requirements

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing VPCs, deployment, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with BGP routing between Data Center Colo and Cloud providers

  • Knowledge of network security services, including firewalls and VPNs

  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

  • Proficiency in using network monitoring tools (ELK, SolarWinds)

  • At least 1 year of experience with GCP cloud

  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Terraform)

  • Working experience with Jenkins pipeline

  • Experience with AppGate for entitlement creation and IP management (preferred)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to participate in on-call rotations and 3 days per week from the office in Irving, TX

  • Professional Cloud Network Engineer certifications (GCP / AWS / Azure)

  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
