The Central Monitoring Station (CMS) Trainer is responsible for the comprehensive training of all incoming, new-hire CMS operators. The CMS Trainer will ensure that all training conducted is standardized and reflective of the desires of the CMS Manager and Supervisors. Any deviations in training content will be authorized only by that leadership team.

As the CMS Trainer you will:

  • Conduct one-on-one, or group, training with all incoming, new-hire CMS operators

  • This training will be conducted in-person, on-site whenever practical but some content can be conducted remotely under extenuating circumstances

  • Maintain continuous dialogue with the CMS Manager and Supervisors to ensure that all training content is approved and standardized across all three shifts

  • Develop, over time, a training manual that addresses as many training topics in written form as can be reasonably documented.

  • Potentially serve as a shift supervisor during periods of leadership shortages or extended illnesses

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a CMS Operator at a Underwriters Labs (UL) certified station

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Fluent in English

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED

  • A true self-starter who shows initiative and takes accountability for his/her actions

  • Meticulous attention to detail in all administrative work

  • Comfortable in a matrixed environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Infectious, positive attitude and demeanor

  • This is an in-office position with minimal opportunity to work remotely

  • No travel required with the position

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-year experience as a shift Supervisor in a UL-certified Central Monitoring Station

  • Experience training CMS operators on numerous systems, applications and processes

  • Solid foundation in Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to train individuals off hours on any shift, or during normal working hours

  • The pay range for this position is $48,650 - $83,400. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
