CVS Health Associate Data Engineer in Irving, Texas

Position Summary

  • Analyzes complex Data structure from disparate data sources and design large scale data engineering pipeline.

  • Develops large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs.

  • Writes ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.

  • Implements data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data.

  • Documents data engineering processes, workflows, and systems for reference and knowledge-sharing purposes.

  • Uses strong programming skills in Teradata BTEQ, SQL, pyspark, Python or any of the major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems

  • Builds highly scalable and extensible data marts and data models to support Descriptive, Data Science and other internal customers on cloud

  • Integrates data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards.

  • Analyzes current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions.

  • Experiments with available tools and advice on new tools to determine optimal solution given the requirements dictated by the model/use cases.

  • Be a team player and work with team members for Business solution and implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of progressively complex related experience in cloud data engineering and data analysis

  • 6+ months programing languages such as SQL , Python, Pyspark , Teradata BTEQ

  • 6+ months Sound knowledge in any of cloud Technology is must preferably Google cloud Platform (GCP)

  • 6+ months experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX Commands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems

  • Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams

Education Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering but preferred as master’s degree.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$61,800.00 - $123,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
