Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor in Irving, Texas

Description

We are offering a role in the accounting industry based in Irving, Texas, United States. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor who will be responsible for managing and organizing the accounts payable functions of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle Accounts Payable.

  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.

  • Vendor management and maintenance.

  • 1099 management.

  • Enters invoices, prepares and runs checks.

  • Prepare lien releases for vendor checks

  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

  • Provides supporting documentation for audits.

  • Researches and resolves purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies and issues; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.

  • Maintain vendor files including verifying federal id numbers (W-9); verifying Certificate of Insurance.

  • Demonstrates an acceptable level of accuracy and productivity in relation to data entry.

  • Accommodates requests and answers inquiries made by the vendors and internal team members.

  • Supervise 2 team members.

  • Achieves high productivity through reliable and punctual attendance.

    Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisor role or similar position.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as QuickBooks.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with account coding.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions and accrual accounting.

• Demonstrable expertise in auditing processes and procedures.

• Proven knowledge and experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP).

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information handled.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
