What we’re looking for:

TP-Link Systems Inc. is seeking an independent, technology-driven professional to become a part of our local US-Based Business Technical Support team as a Technical Writer. This position will focus on our SMB/Enterprise product lines. This position will require the candidate to:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, R&D engineers, and support teams to gather information and understand documentation needs.

  • Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs for Omada/VIGI products.

  • Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect product updates, new features, and customer feedback. Ensure that all documentation meets the company's standards for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Work closely with the support teams to understand common customer issues and incorporate solutions into documentation.

  • Work closely with R&D and product teams to understand product definition, functional principles and target customer needs.

  • Review and edit content produced by other teams to ensure quality and consistency across all technical documents.

  • Manage documentation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business product technical writing experience. Please be prepared to provide writing samples.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with network management products.

  • Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience writing and editing technical documents, process documents, and communications.

  • Ability to comply with style guidelines and restructure existing documentation to improve usability and branding consistency.

  • Ensure proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accuracy of information.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable for end-users.

  • Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop, or similar.

  • Experience with HTML or XML a plus

  • Excellent cross-team communication skills, collaborative and creative.

Preferred Skills:

  • Having working experience in the networking industry.

  • Networking certifications (CCNA/CWNA/ACNT/CCNP/CCIE/Etc.)

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web technologies.

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college. Information technology, Computer Science, English related majors preferred.
