Description
We are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join our team located in Irvine, California. This role involves the design, implementation, and upkeep of our advanced network infrastructure. You will be addressing the most complex network challenges and spearheading strategic initiatives, while also offering guidance to engineers at the beginning of their careers.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the design, implementation, and improvement of the company's WAN, LAN, and WLAN across all locations.
• Create and implement SD-WAN (VeloCloud) solutions to enhance network performance and reliability.
• Deliver the highest level of support for intricate network issues, providing expertise and advice to the entire network team.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced issues related to all aspects of the network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless systems.
• Oversee the management of Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring the highest levels of network security and compliance.
• Develop and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead strategic network initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and new technology deployments.
• Guide cross-functional teams in the execution of complex network projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Offer guidance and support to entry level and mid-level engineers, fostering detail-oriented growth within the team.
• Design training programs and share best practices to enhance the overall technical competency of the network team.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Experience with Checkpoint technology.
• Ability to work with Cisco ASA and Cisco Routers.
• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies.
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies.
• Proficient in managing Computer Hardware.
• Experience in Configuration Management.
• In-depth understanding of Datacenter operations.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Palo Alto Networks.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technology.
• Familiarity with Juniper Switches.
• Experience working at the Enterprise Level.
• Understanding of Wireless Networks.
• Knowledge of Information - Network Security.
• Proficiency in Network Security and Network Security Monitoring.
• Experience with WAN - Wide Area Network and WAN Technologies.
• Understanding of LAN - Local Area Network.
