Job Description

The role of the BTS Project Manager within Allergan Aesthetics is to closely partner with Allergan Data Labs (A-DL) and respective business partners to articulate business needs, develop requirements to address those needs, and formulate action plans to implement change. The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting, coordinating and developing communications, plan development and activities that lead to optimal effectiveness of work. This includes annual and quarterly review calendar development and budget management and supporting the development of key departmental meetings, presentations and communication vehicles. This role will also partner with other Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team members across the entire organization to ensure optimal technical support for all systems and applications.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Accountable for facilitating high quality BTS support services across Allergan Data Labs and the AA sales and marketing organizations.

  • Defines and understands the business needs of the AA commercial team and foreseeing project demand within the next 6 - 12 months.

  • Key activities include project plan development, schedule development and control, scope management, issue resolution, risk analysis, resource management and project status reporting.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations to the business and BTS teams to drive alignment and initiate understanding of technical solutions in response to evolving business needs.

  • Directs a combination of operational, integration, and new projects.

  • Responsible for quarterly demand meetings to ascertain future need for BTS services.

  • Responsible for defining project objectives and scope, aligning requirements to the business objectives, providing estimates to the business, gaining business approval, and assembling core & extended team member meetings.

  • Responsible for updating Marketing IS and Global Commercial IS teams regarding, upcoming projects and ensure resources are in place to support all initiatives.

  • Serves as the primary BTS escalation point for A-DL and meets regularly with business owners (minimum monthly) to ensure alignment on key priorities.

  • Manages relationships between business and BTOs to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring & brokers services within the BTS community.

Experiences that make you a strong fit for this role:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 4 years’ experience.

  • Extensive Marketing, Marketing Operations, Commercial Operations and IS experience with technical client services is required.

  • Project management experience using formal SLC; project management methodology (PMP preferred), techniques, and tools is required.

  • Experience supporting and leading pharmaceutical / life science marketing and commercial business units with transaction based systems, document management/workflow and multi-channel campaign management solutions.

  • Experience working with vendor-provided and cloud-based SaaS marketing applications and technologies is a plus: Veeva CRM, Veeva PromoMats, Salesforce, Adobe services and solutions.

  • Must have broad experience in change management, vendor management and application analysis and design.

  • Extensive experience and strong understanding of the application of technical solutions to address business problems within the life sciences industry.

  • Track record of strategy development & leadership of portfolio, business, and technology roadmaps.

  • Experience of working in a high performing matrix environment.

  • Proven technical and leadership skills with the ability to manage simultaneous priorities and changing deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Open to a hybrid work model based in the Irvine, CA or Lake County IL areas.

  • Experience in the systems development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise systems.

  • Previous Business Systems & Program Management work in Biotech or Pharma setting or experience working in research laboratory setting.

  • Project Management experience.
