Job Description

Purpose:

The Director will partner with multiple cross-functional and divisional leaders to drive key strategic initiatives for R&D Aesthetics with dedicated focus on advancing Early Research (e.g., Toxins, Hair) and top RDAA strategic priorities. This individual will play a significant role in supporting the advancement of our next generation pipeline. Anticipates business needs through strategic planning and trend analysis and with alignment of key stakeholders across R&D with interfaces in R&D & Commercial. Operates with a continuous improvement mindset driving strategic initiatives and enabling cross-functional operational efficiencies. Will operate proactively, owning work under support and anticipating future business needs.

Responsibilities:

· Partner with the Biological Research Leadership Team to advance strategic initiatives and programs related to Early Research (incl. capability builds, capital expansion, early research strategy).

· Dedicated strategy and executive communication support for Early Research as we move critical research activities through early research governance and executive reviews prior to late discovery research transition

· Supports additional cross-functional strategy development and execution including (but not limited to) – R&D Aesthetics above-asset strategic imperatives

· Drives cross-functional development of executive communications materials for key leadership readouts (e.g., ELT)

· Co-lead strategic workshop sessions as needed across RDAA functions

· Role will have frequent interactions with functional leaders across R&D (incl. Therapeutics) and Commercial

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree highly preferred.

    Minimum 10 years Business related experience required. 5+ years in pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industry and strong knowledge in pharmaceutical regulations i.e. FDA and European Union preferred.

  • Proven 5-7 years in a leadership role with strong management skills required.

  • Management consultant or similar business consulting experience strongly preferred

  • Experience working in a complex and matrix environment required. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-divisional and multi-functional teams with global aspects required.

  • Experience analyzing complex business problems and facilitating the design of innovative solutions preferred including leading complex strategic initiatives over time.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior leadership to drive alignment on a strategic vision and facilitate decision making on critical issues.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written required. Ability to craft compelling business cases and sell new ideas preferred.

  • Keen awareness to cultural nuances; proven ability to work in a global environment.

  • Proficiency in project planning and management experience including successful implementation of business and/or technology initiatives preferred.

  • Note: Higher education may compensate for years of experience
