Enterprise rely on Technology, and more specifically Secure Platforms, to underpin the services that they provide to their customers.This role provides technical specialisms that underpin the service management platforms for Enterprise customers, generating revenue circa 50-60m per annum.

Skills

  • Is eligible to hold a minimum of SC clearance

  • Is able to regularly attend Defence offices as per customer / platform requirements

  • Holds a technical degree or industry-relevant experience

  • Is able to read, understand and update complex design artefacts

  • Can communicate effectively with a range of customer types across the business, both internal and external

  • Stakeholder management - evidence of managing multiple stakeholders across a variety of roles and seniority levels

  • Is able to develop subject matter expertise in engineering functions such as Service Management, Network Management or Infrastructure Management

  • Can work under direction in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects or issues

  • Has an understanding of ITIL practices and understands how they apply to IT Service Management platforms

What you’ll be doing

  • Manages a medium sized team of infrastructure design specialists, providing guidance and support to the team in a play/coach role.

  • Conducts performance review sessions with each member of the team, setting goals aligned with the overall strategy of Digital as well as more specific goals from secure platforms. Provides feedback to each member of the team, supporting where required as well as recognising their contributions.

  • Is proactive in directing the team for the resolution of both service-effecting events and security defects in their specialist area.

  • Reviewing, authoring and signing off design documentation for the overall defence platform.

  • Provides design and implementation of technical solutions in an end-to-end engineering function.

  • Accountable for ensuring and understanding the security posture of the components they and the team are responsible for.

  • Providing reporting and communication for senior management and project delivery, to ensure they are aware of all weekly activities.
