Diageo Manager - Cluster Finance Business Partner in Indore, India

Job Description :

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The purpose of the role is to closely partner with commercial team and support business/financial goals through financial performance management with the objective of meeting USL goals while adhering to all applicable controls/compliances/policies.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1 Credit Management

• Ensure Timely Block Circulation to Commercial Team

• Ensure to Credit Block Release as per Credit Policy

• Enhance to Improve credit block review system and best utilization of resources

• Driving Collection and reducing overdues by partnering with sales team

• Improve AR ageing quality & achieve DSO Target through continuous monitoring

• Credit Limit and Terms review for existing customer in peak period of the year and for New customer by reviewing the assigned quota and as per the average expected share / sales to Diageo India.

• Debtor Estimates / forecast review basis actual Debtor reports to ensure no Risk in AR. 2 Support RTM Changes / Annual policy changes • No sales loss due to system • Support in Representation to State Govt where required • Excise Policy year Change Invoice checking and verification to ensure billing with approved /accurate rates. • Participate in pricing discussion and provide quality inputs 3

  1. Compliance and Governance

• Ensure Balance confirmation as per Credit Policy & resolution for Open item Immediately

• Collection from recovery cases should be offset future PDDs and recovery costs for F21+B1

• Ensure & proper control on Overhead and ensure no surprise

• Standardize Reviews and convert to templated reviews for all clusters

• Address the issue of unidentified receipts

• Compliance to credit policy tracking- Security Cheque Tracker, VAT abatement letter, C Form

• Compliance to BTL and TTL Policy and looking for optimisation opportunites

• Risks identified through TB review are tracked and reviewed by RFH

• Any AML or legacy issues highlight with the legal consul and ensure get resolve.

3 Business Partnering

• Strengthening BTL / TTL provisioning process and month end sanity checking

• Month end reporting / dashboards

• “Improving quality of provisioning month on month” to eliminate volatility

• Partnering with Cluster and Sales head to ensure to delivery of NSV Target & volume by analyzing performance

• Partnering with NRM team to optimize Trade Spend in market

• Monthly review of cluster MFR with RCFH & Cluster/Sales head to identify opportunities/Issues•

• Identifying sources of growth and opportunities to save cost

• Active participation to unlock savings and ensure hygiene by dialing up Distributor ROI, BTL/TTL M&E etc

• Active working to identify pricing opportunities. Benchmarking our cost cards with Industry players basis information available in public domain

Knowledge & skills:

• Possess a flair for numbers, an ability to think big-pictures and long

• Ability to communicate with and explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-driven with the capacity to work in a dynamic work environment

• Ability to be a team player, trouble-shooter and a consensus-builder

• Exposure to complex business environments

• Good analytical, written & verbal communication skills

• Chartered Accountant/MBA
