Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The selected candidate will be accountable for general accounting, financial statement creation, and review. This role is centered in the accounting industry and requires a skill set that includes Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, and the ability to Prepare Financial Statements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of general accounting and financial statement production.

• Conduct account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Prepare journal entries and execute month-end close procedures.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report financial information.

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements for review.

• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvements to processes.

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

• Stay updated with industry trends and current best practices. Requirements • Possess a minimum of five years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar capacity.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Solid understanding and practical experience with general ledger operations and the month-end close process.

• Capability to prepare and maintain journal entries.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing financial statements.

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Knowledge of applicable accounting software and systems.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
