Job Description
Oracle Local Government is hiring a Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant with prior public safety software experience to demonstrate and present our Oracle Public Safety Suite during the pre-sales process to prospective public safety agencies across the United States.

The Solutions Consultant provides direction, education, and knowledge in how to best apply Oracle Public Safety Suite functionality and benefits to public safety operations. This is done through both onsite & web demonstrations and presentations at introductory and full capability levels. This position will also be supporting our application sales representatives both onsite and remotely as needed. Responsibilities
What you will do:
Provide pre-sales solution support and work in collaboration with Oracle’s Local Government Global Industry Unit’s sales leaders, application sales reps, marketing and product teams focusing on Public Safety’s Oracle Public Safety Suite application.
Provide direct sales support for Oracle’s Local Government Application Sales Representatives by assisting in conducting discovery sessions, providing solution design/recommendation presentations & general Q/A support for prospective customers to meet or exceed sales targets.
Collect and analyze prospective customer environment data (current infrastructure, application products implemented, product customizations [technical & functional]), and assist in mapping business needs for the purpose of recommending solutions based on Oracle’s Local Government GIU’s offerings.
Assist sales teams in assessing unique customer service and/or infrastructure needs and developing solutions that meet client needs while supporting Oracle’s business objectives.
Periodically assist in the delivery of technical training for external presentation to existing and prospective customers and internal presentation to employees.
Periodically participate in various projects to build and improve sales tools, technical collateral, etc. in support of the broader sales team.
Provide deal/ activity report to manager on a weekly basis
Accurately understand, deliver and articulate Oracle’s Local Government value propositions to local government agency prospects and decision makers.
Ability to work in a growing business unit while still working within Oracle’s overall sales/demonstration parameters.
Assist and collaborate with Sales Operations & Product teams to review and respond to RFx technical requirements.
Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include sophisticated product concepts, strategic direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
Ability to stay up to date on Public Sector Public Safety Software competitive landscapes and technologies.

What you have done:
5+ years experience demonstrating Public Safety software solutions or experience demonstrating to local government collaborators.
Preferably have experience using a Public Safety solution.
Preferably have experience in the field of public safety.
BS degree or equivalent experience.
Relevant computer applications or database/tools.
Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system.
Detailed knowledge of system and application design.
Strong verbal and written communication skills needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments.
Ability to travel as needed, but up to 75%.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from $31.20 to $76.44 per hour; from: $64,900 to $159,000 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
