This position can be remote and based within the United States. Ideal candidates will be within a drivable distance to the Dublin, OH, office.

Program & Project Management applies general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process. This job family organizes project teams, establishes project schedules and individual responsibilities, and determines resource requirements. Program & Project Management manages project budgets and reports on the status of project cost, timing and staffing. This job family also ensures adherence to internal external quality standards and integrates vendor tasks and deliverables into project plans.

Job Summary

The Program Manager of Program Project Management is responsible for managing the execution of projects consisting of single or multiple initiatives. They work within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

The role will be responsible for engaging internal/external stakeholders and Cardinal senior leadership to drive impactful, high-value programs. This role focuses on leading and executing both internal strategic initiatives and external customer-based projects. They will work closely with cross functional partners across Global Medical Products and Distribution to enhance operational efficiencies, optimize processes, deliver value to our customers, and develop sustainable long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Applies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to effectively organize the activities, time, resources and team required to achieve project objectives

  • Acts as liaison and coordinator of key functional business partners (Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Ops, Customer Engagement, Inventory & Planning, etc.) across Global Medical Products and Distribution

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes

  • Measures performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments; connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case

  • Builds and presents project summaries to communicate with internal/external stakeholders and senior leadership

  • Prioritizes multiple programs while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders with openness and transparency

  • Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project outcomes and success. Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals

  • Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution

  • Develops technical and business solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives to include Lean Process Improvements

Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 3+ years relevant experience preferred

  • Program/ Project Management experience

  • 2+ years customer facing experience

  • Relationship building/ management skills, ability to influence and engage others

  • Strong communication skills, ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 80% (varies based on project need)

Anticipated salary range: $103,500 - $147,900

** The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
