    Role Overview:

    The Program Coordinator is responsible for processing enrollments and referrals for new and existing cases in the Title IV-D Child Support Program, organizing and maintaining current and historical files related to enrollments, referrals, requests for information, and case management reports. The Case Management Unit is key in providing consistent evaluation and processing of new child support cases and assisting in connecting Custodial and Non-Custodial Parents, Other State Child Support Agencies, Child Welfare and Human Service Agencies to the appropriate local county IV-D prosecutors’ office. This critical staff member must be knowledgeable about child support, child welfare, state agencies such as DOC, and human services agencies. They must have the ability to pay attention to detail in evaluating case referrals and communicating effectively with all involved parties.

    Salary Statement:

    The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Compile information relative to the assigned program area.

  • Coordinate correspondence for information requests.

  • Organize and maintain current and historical files related to the program.

  • Organize program reports, applications, and maintain consultative services.

  • Maintain and organize program assets.

  • Prepare all program related training materials.

  • General knowledge of the program area.

  • Basic knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to the assigned program area and its affects upon other agency operations.

  • Ability to gather and compile program materials.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.

  • Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
