Oldcastle Building Envelope, Inc. Machine Operator - 2nd shift - $22 to start! - MACHI004289 in Indianapolis, Indiana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to use and understand computerized oven controls to change/adjust oven recipes
  • Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others
  • Safely perform and record quality tests required by Oldcastle and outside quality agencies
  • Learn and understand ASTM and other quality standards
  • Monitor and report any equipment maintenance issues to ensure Oven is operating to specifications
  • Ability to perform documented start-up and shut-down procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the other employees on the line about quality or mechanical issues

Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a general production laborer position, the following conditions must be met:

  • Perform work as assigned by supervisor
  • Read, understand, and communicate
  • Complete paperwork
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure
  • Notify lead person or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
