Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the customer service industry. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, renewing memberships, and data entry tasks in a high-volume call center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer service duties, including answering questions from veterans and processing membership renewals.

• Manage high-volume call handling during peak times, ensuring timely and efficient response to all inquiries.

• Perform data entry tasks to record customer interactions and update customer accounts.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed.

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and adherence to company policies, including attendance and punctuality.

• Adhere to company dress code and maintain a business casual appearance.

• Utilize MS Word and MS Excel to perform basic office tasks.

• Refrain from personal cell phone use during work hours to ensure focus and productivity.

• Utilize data entry skills to maintain accurate records and process customer credit applications.

• Ensure all customer credit records are accurate and up-to-date. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in a customer service role

• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel

• Familiarity with basic office tasks and procedures

• Prior experience in a call center setting would be advantageous

• Strong data entry skills, including numeric data entry

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to handle and resolve customer complaints effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
