We are actively hiring a Project Manager to support a portfolio of Commercial Construction projects in Indianapolis, IN. Our client is a company that values quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in its construction projects. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and construction expertise with the support of their leadership team. Some upcoming projects around central Indiana include (but are not limited to) a Car Wash, an Early Learning School Center, and an expansive Fitness Facility Club House. Responsibilities
Lead, direct, and coordinate day-to-day management and construction activities of projects
Ensure overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout
Resolve day-to-day issues to ensure timely, safe, and profitable project completion
Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs
Manage project costs through ongoing evaluation of labor, material, and equipment
Forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits until project completion
Maintain good business relationships with owners, architects, and team members
Make commitments to clients, architects, and subcontractors as needed for successful project completion
Draft subcontracts and purchase orders in a timely manner
Negotiate and execute owner and subcontractor change orders promptly
Prepare and review project schedules to ensure adherence or necessary modifications
Provide advice, guidance, leadership, and direction to all company members assigned to projects
Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications), approve pay applications, and negotiate subcontract change orders
Utilize construction software (Procore) and effectively collaborate with teams
Essential Skills
Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, plus 3+ years Project Management experience
Would accept non-degreed candidates with 5+ years of Project Management experience
Experience with Commercial, K-12/Educational, or Industrial projects
Experience managing multiple projects, each over $1 Million budget
Knowledge of current Market Conditions, including Pricing Conventions and Trends
Knowledge of Contracting, Purchasing, Engineering, and Controls Procedures
Strong Construction acumen and ability to analyze Construction Documents
Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills
Preferred but not Required - OSHA 30 Certification
Preferred but not Required - Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Suites
Work Environment
You will report to the office 5 days per week, with biweekly onsite Project Meetings that will require short travel to site and back. The company offers a relocation package (if needed) and a salary ranging from $120,000-$160,000/year depending on experience. Additional perks include a truck allowance of $900 per month for vehicles 6 years or newer, and a $75 phone allowance. The company also organizes golf fundraisers and various company outings. The ideal candidate should have a sense of urgency, work well as a team, and manage the client experience effectively.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $65.63/hr.
