First Databank (FDB) is seeking a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will work with business partners to identify, define and clarify scope of problems and issues. This individual will also serve as a point of escalation for governance and data quality and have responsibility for improving the quality and ensuring the integrity of critical customer and prospect-related data and information assets.

The Commercial Business Systems Analyst should thrive on solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions related to Salesforce, Gainsight and MuleSoft while striving for OOTB solutions and articulating the pros/cons of customizations.

Position can be remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the healthcare, pharma, or med device space to gather and document business requirements for Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight system enhancements, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

  • Analyze and map current business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements specific to the healthcare, pharma, or med device industry.

  • Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications for Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight system enhancements, including data models, workflows, and user interface designs.

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure accurate implementation of requirements and provide guidance during the development and testing phases.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support for end-users during the rollout of new features and enhancements.

  • Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials for Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight users in the healthcare, pharma, or med device industry.

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight issues, working with the development team to resolve any identified defects.

  • Monitor and analyze Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending best practices specific to the healthcare, pharma, or med device industry.

  • Stay current with Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight product updates and industry trends, ensuring our organization is leveraging the latest features and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight environment within the healthcare, pharma, or med device industry.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce, Power BI, and Gainsight functionality, including configuration, customization, and integration.

  • Experience working with Commercial Revenue teams. (Sales, Customer Success, & Marketing).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Salesforce Administrator, Power BI, and/or Gainsight Administrator certifications are a plus.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Indianapolis, IN. The reasonable estimate, if hired in Indianapolis, is $95,000 – $105,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
