Indiana County Jail Correctional Officer in Indiana, Pennsylvania
The Indiana County Jail is hiring Full Correctional Officers.
Correctional Officers maintain security and inmate accountability in order to prevent disturbances, assults, or escapes in a county correctional facility on an assigned shift. Work responsibilities include, but are not limited to; overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been convicted of a crime and are sentenced to serve time in a jail or a state correctional facility. Supervision is provided in a housing unit, a work location, and in the performance of general tasks required, as well as direct involvement with inmate and offical visitors.

Requirements
Interested applicants must have a high school diploma/GED, be able to pass all background checks and screenings. Relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
Full Time Rate
Starting: $21.13 After Probation: $22.45
