UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies Enterprise Network Architect in Indian Head, Maryland

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Network Architect to join our dynamic team supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head (NSWC IHD) Code 104. This pivotal role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing sophisticated network infrastructures that align with the organization's ambitious goals. As an Enterprise Network Architect, you will be at the forefront of strategizing, architecting, and optimizing complex network solutions to bolster the growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive enterprise-wide network architecture that supports our business objectives.

• Define and execute scalable, secure, and efficient network solutions to cater to both current and future organizational demands.

• Conduct thorough assessments of network requirements, feasibility studies, and provide insightful technical recommendations for network enhancements.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and translate them into viable network architecture designs.

• Design and manage the deployment of network security measures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering teams, promoting the implementation of best practices and standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of six (6) years of proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network infrastructures.

• Demonstrable expertise in strategizing and architecting complex network solutions.

• Strong experience in developing and implementing network architectures that are aligned with business goals.

• Solid understanding of scalable, secure, and efficient network solution implementation.

• Proficiency in assessing network needs, conducting feasibility studies, and providing strategic technical recommendations.

• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to understand business requirements and convert them into technical designs.

• Extensive knowledge in designing and overseeing the execution of network security protocols.

• Proven track record of providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold an active Secret (or higher) security clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
