The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Who You Are

AdminitrationSolaris 10 /11 System Administration,

• Solaris kernel upgradation.

• System Firmware upgrades.

• Adding Disks to LDOMs.

• Configuring root disk in SVM.

• Creating, Installing, Migrating the zones.

• Connecting storage (lofs,ufs,zfs file systems) to zones.

• Managing packages & patches with in zones.

• Configuring persistent resources pools & resources management with zones.

• Renaming, Moving & cloning zones.

• Migrating Physical system in to zones.

• Adding exclusive, shared ip’s, to zones.

• Configuring the Control & Guest domains(LDOM’s).

• Reconfiguring Guest domain resources (CPU’s,Memory).

• Split the PCI Configuration to create I/O Domains.

• Assigning Storage (Disks, Files and zfs volumes as virtual disks) to LDOM’s.

• Configuring Probe-based IPMP.

• Adding CPU’s,pools,Memory,swap to zones.

• Adding/plumbing virtual ip’s to servers/zones.

• Encapsulating the root disk in veritas volume manager.

• Adding users to cluster to give access.

• Adding 3rd party packages to the server.

• Renaming the server/zone.

• Updating projects for user profiles/update profile variable values etc.

• Configuring the printers.

• VERITAS changes like root mirroring, increasing and decreasing the VXFS File Systems with vxresize, upgrading VERITAS version, deporting and importing disk groups.
