Oracle Software Development Manager in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

As the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled and experienced software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet our clients and stakeholders needs. Your leadership will be crucial in driving technical excellence and fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in computer engineering or equivalent

  • 10+ years of software development experience in a technical capacity

  • 3+ years of leadership experience and managing engineers is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.

  • Knowledge of agile methods and experience in an agile team required.

  • You have built and managed high-performing engineering teams and hired top-class engineers.

  • Demonstrated ability to attract/recruit/retain external talent and be a coach and employee champion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Ensure that software development practices adhere to industry best practices and company standards.

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and technical specifications.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution and delivery.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our software applications.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software by implementing robust testing and validation processes.

  • Address and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.

  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
