Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain Java application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes

  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA

  • Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed

  • Identify production and non-production application issues

  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Java developed projects

  • Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure questions Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of executing the projects in the Agile Methodologies

  • Envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and be able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it

  • Design and develop the framework of the system and be able to explain choices made. Also write and review design document explaining overall architecture, framework and high-level design of the application

  • Create, understand and validate Design and estimated effort for given module / task, and be able to justify it

  • Define in - scope, out - of - scope and taken assumptions while creating effort estimates

  • Identify and integrate well over all integration points in context of a project as well as other applications in the environment

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA with more than 4+ years of experience

  • ITIL / ITSM knowledge or certification

  • 1+ years of working experience in database (SQL or PL/SQL), and ability to understand concept of Big Data, NoSQL / Flat Database

  • Working experience in Web Services / API, REST Architecture etc.

  • Working experience in CI/CD pipeline (test, build, deployment and monitoring automation)

  • Working experience or good knowledge of cloud platform (e.g. OpenShift, Azure, AWS)

  • Experience in deploying and supporting core and advanced features

  • Java / J2EE development skills, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST and SOAP Services, XML, CSS, Angular JS, Oracle / MySQL, Application Build and Deployment using Jenkins, Gradle / MAVEN

  • Basic understanding of RDBMS concepts with SQL and Oracle / MySQL

  • Product / Project / Program Related Tech Stack: Front End, Back End, Middleware, Testing, DevOps, etc.

  • Development Methodology / Engineering Practices - Agile (SCRUM / KANBAN)

  • Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of OpenSource adoption and use cases

  • Excellent Object Oriented programming skills and accomplished performance with Java technologies

  • Good analytical and self-learning skills and the desire to learn new technologies

  • Proficient in the English language

  • Good in oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholders

  • Able to confidently work independently, handle and guide the team, and self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud exposure (SAAS / PASS / IAAS) / Open Shift Enterprise (OSE) Exposure

  • Agile background
