The Role : Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Governance

The Team : You will be Senior Manager in S&P Global’s Cybersecurity Governance Team within the Information Security department. As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and shaping our organization's cybersecurity efforts by overseeing the operations of the Cybersecurity Governance and Risk function.

The Impact : You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our cybersecurity posture, develop strategic plans, and drive continuous improvement at the GRC areas. You will also govern the relationship with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) and interface with the Internal Auditors.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the MSP, building a strong and collaborative partnership to ensure the delivery of high-quality security services and improve Cybersecurity posture of the organization.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the MSP's services. Ensure the MSP's activities align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and our internal policies.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, Internal Auditors and executive leadership, to ensure a cohesive approach to security operations and MSP governance.

  • Maintain IT Processes and Controls for Regulatory Compliance. Reduce organizational risks by early identifying gaps for improvement.

  • Ensure assurance of controls’ execution during integration of processes, and flag patterns to prevent repeat audit findings.

  • Identify opportunities for optimization and drive the development and enhancement of procedures and workflows for effective Issues Management.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders regarding the state of Cybersecurity Compliance and Risk posture.

What We’re Looking For :

  • 5 years+ of relevant experience in Cyber Security operations & governance in Managerial role.

  • Broad knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Security products, Identity Management, network security, endpoint security, cloud security, vulnerability management, security incident response and malware.

  • Understanding of cyber security and IT disciplines including networking, operating systems, authentication protocols, general enterprise network architecture, and security incident response.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong PowerPoint Presentation skills.

  • Experience with managing the Vendor relationship.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or master’s in computers, IT or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience, out of which 3 years with IT risk and/or security.

  • At least one of the Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, SANS/GIAC, CRISC, CISA.

  • Experience working in information security and demonstrable understanding of the concepts of information security controls including ISO and NIST.

  • Ability to work flexible hours is desirable (to provide coverage for US/EST business hours).

  • Excellent communication skills - a must. The resource should have the ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and vendors, both written and oral communication is critical.

  • Project management experience is a “Big” plus.
