Oracle QA Analyst 3-ProdDev in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards.

• Understand requirements/user stories/ use cases & Develops software test plans - Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data.

• Executes software test plans Manually or using Automation tools & Maintains documentation of test results.

• Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

• Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

• Work along with the Product Owner/BA, development team, other Testing teams and other groups to complete the testing Tasks

Candidate will have to perform duties independently under general, minimal supervision. Candidate will be responsible to report new bugs/ issues/ enhancements in the tools and follow with the concerned teams to bring them to closure. Candidate is expected to complete his assigned work in the sprint timelines and raise the issues/ Risks to the management in advance. Candidate will work as an Individual Contributor in the team; Candidate would be expected to acquire subject matter expertise in the functions and activities of the department or other assigned work unit; establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships; provide lead direction to subordinate staff and provide work direction to them. Candidate would need to possess strong analytical skills and out of the box thinking, always coming up with creative ideas, time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Candidate will have to track and fully document the testing tasks as per the company/team guidelines.

Skill Set-

Must to have:

  1. Passionate about Quality Assurance and Quality control & always strive for new ways to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of QA processes with proven ability to deliver high quality software

  2. Good understanding of software product development lifecycle, STLC & Agile framework. Experience in short release cycles & the full software lifecycle.

  3. Hands on experience in Testing functional requirements (use cases, user stories etc.) with minimal supervision either Manually or using automation tools

  4. Experience in testing and certifying enterprise class software & complex projects that require a deep understanding of product logic and dependencies

  5. Good understanding of System Architectures of Web based applications, client-Server Technologies.

  6. Integration testing of various components

  7. Knowledge of Programming languages -Java, Python

  8. Automation Testing using Selenium

  9. Knowledge of fundamental concepts of Database, SQL. Proven ability to work with RDBMS

  10. Ability to work independently as well in a team with minimum supervision

  11. Strong communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, strong troubleshooting, problem solving and reasoning skills

  12. Self-directed, Agile, proactive and capable of working independently and within team in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize the things on the fly

Good to have:

• Setup of Testing environments (With different OSs/DBs/Servers)

• Cloud based technologies

• Product Development/enhancement/sustenance background

• Any certification in Testing domain

• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Continuous Integration, Jenkins

• Domain knowledge of the Construction Industry
