About the Role:

As a Commercial Insights Application Developer, you will be an integral part of the Commercial Solutions & Insights organization. In this role, you will bring your technical expertise to the Pricing Strategy & Analytics group, focusing on the development, launch, and ongoing management of S&P Global Market Intelligence pricing applications and intelligence solutions. Utilizing tools such as PowerBI, Tableau CRM, HTML, and Python, you will enable key internal stakeholders in Sales and Product to make data-driven decisions.

The Team:

As a member of the Pricing Go-to-Market team, you will provide essential technical expertise. Your responsibilities will include the development of pricing applications and the integration of business intelligence capabilities to enhance price guidance recommendations, data visualizations and analytics.

Responsibilities and Impact:

This role offers a unique opportunity to blend web application development with business intelligence to create comprehensive pricing solutions, inclusive of data analytics and insights. Your contributions will directly impact the organization’s ability to drive data-driven decision-making and top-line growth.

Development and Implementation:

  • Design, code, develop, test, and implement price guidance web applications and BI solutions.

  • Manage and maintain the suite of pricing and BI web applications.

  • Resolve technical issues and enhance application performance.

User Adoption and Training:

  • Track web application usage and BI tool adoption to inform user training and drive consistent pricing behaviors that maximize top-line growth.

  • Support end-user training for web applications and BI tools.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and develop functionality changes to improve data analytics and reporting capabilities.

  • Ensure data and access security for web applications and data integrity for BI solutions.

  • Evaluate and provide upgrades to existing web applications and BI tools.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive reporting and documentation for all pricing web applications and BI solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in web application development and BI tools, with expertise in PowerBI, Tableau CRM, HTML, and Python.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of web application frameworks and BI platforms.

  • Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (Dash, Flask, Pandas).

  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Knowledge of Database Management Systems (PL/SQL).

  • Knowledge of Data Pipelines and DAX Queries.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to develop and implement data analytics and BI solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce.com.

  • Knowledge of Data mining.

  • Experience in REACT framework.

  • Knowledge of Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools.
