Shop and Save Express Deli Manager in Hyde, Pennsylvania

Shop and Save Express in Houtzdale is seeking a Deli Manager:  

Operational Management: *Must have 1yr. of management experience. * The Deli Manager oversees the daily operations of the deli department, including inspecting food quality and presentation in the display case, managing food safety practices, handling the ordering, receiving, and storing of deli products, and managing inventory to reduce waste and maintain adequate stock levels. Hot food experience is a must.

Staff Management: Assist with the hiring, training, and supervising deli staff, creating schedules, delegating tasks efficiently, evaluating staff performance, and providing training to improve sales and service are key responsibilities of the Deli Manager.

Financial and Inventory Management: Developing and managing sales and profit goals, analyzing sales reports and inventory data, as well as predicting future sales from ads and promotions are important aspects of financial and inventory management for the Deli Manager.

Customer Service: Ensuring customer satisfaction with both service and product quality, resolving customer inquiries and complaints, and providing feedback are essential for maintaining good customer relations.

Compliance and Safety: Enforcing food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations, and being  ServSafe Certified are crucial for the Deli Manager to maintain a safe and compliant deli department. Serve safe is preferred but not required in the hiring process.  This certification can be acquired during employment.

Essential Skills: Interpersonal skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, cleanliness, and food safety knowledge are essential for the Deli Manager to effectively manage the deli department.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically necessary, with higher education in culinary arts, food service management, or a related field being preferred. Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role in deli or food service is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices and the ability to operate deli equipment are also important qualifications for the role.
