COLSA Corporation Windows Systems Administrator (MSIC SCOAA) in Huntsville, Alabama

Join our team as a Windows Systems Analyst, where you will play a vital role in supporting the intelligence community by managing and maintaining a diverse range of workstations and servers. We’re looking for personnel with solid expertise in Windows administration, a strong dedication to supporting national security, and a team-oriented mindset ready to excel in a dynamic, mission-critical environment. This position is fully-onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Securely deploy and manage Windows workstations and servers.

  • Administer local and remote filesystems efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot system issues independently and as part of a team.

  • Automate tasks using shell scripting, PowerShell and Python.

  • Manage security features, including firewalls and BitLocker.

  • Work with SCCM and/or Ansible for system configuration and automation.

  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company and agency policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Create and maintain thorough documentation of plans, system configurations, and operational processes and procedures.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • Associate’s degree in related field with 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field with 5 to 8 years of related experience, or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience with Windows system administration.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

  • Knowledge of security best practices for Windows environments.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Must be able to obtain and maintain (CI) Scope Polygraph within 180 days of hire.

  • CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent baseline security certification.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate certification (or equivalent).

  • Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, etc.).

  • Familiarity with SCCM for system deployment and management.

  • Cross-OS administration experience with Linux.

  • Virtualization experience with VMWare or Nutanix.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Scope Polygraph.
