Job Title:

Test Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL (On-site)

Duties:

  • Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army missile systems
  • Lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing; test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, Human Factors. Includes on-site TDY testing support, completing training to operate weapon system equipment at test facility and performing Unit Under Test functional checks.
  • Ensure execution of test schedule by collaborating with test facility staff and daily status reporting to STRIKE leadership.
  • Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464)
  • Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system's features
  • Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle
  • This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems
  • Redstone Test Center(RTC) or other lab experience (preferred)

Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree
  • 5 years test and evaluation experience in Army weapon system qualification testing
  • Experience with evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464)

Security Clearance: ActiveDoD Secret clearance

Other Essential Job Functions:Must be able to travel a minimum of 30%
