IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a RF/Radar/MRFI Engineer supporting the Sensors organization in the Apache Attack Helicopter Project Management Office (AAH-PMO) based in the Huntsville, AL area. This position will serve as a RADAR system engineer for the AH-64D/E within the AAH-PMO. The candidate for this position must be able to work independently, often acting without direct supervision, and be able to build strong relationship across multiple project offices with all levels of government employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the current AH-64 Fire Control Radar (FCR) and Radio Frequency Interferometer (RFI) and future radar technologies.
  • Position requires data collection, data compilation, and data analysis. Data will support requirements documents, interface documents, and specifications.
  • Keep PM informed of technical status of assigned tasks, significant events, controversial issues, program reviews, and other relevant issues.
  • Be able to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Travel is estimated at 25%
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Education and General experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering and at least eight (8) years of experience in Radar and RF Engineering.
  • This is a technical effort and will involve classified information.
  • Must have an extensive working knowledge of RADAR systems to include the following major subsystems: Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Servo and Signal processing.
  • Must be able to articulate the operation of each major subsystems with respect to the standard RADAR equation and how each impacts the total system regarding the equation.
  • Must have an extensive working knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems both Source and Target, to include the following major subsystems: Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Servo and Signal processing.
  • Must be able to articulate the operation of each major subsystems with respect to the standard Jammer to Signal equation and how each impacts the total close loop system of Source and Target.
  • Must be skilled in the following: Electronic Attack, Electronic Support and Electronic Protection.
  • Must have experience in the development of system specifications, the Air Worthiness Release process, and the Material Release process.
  • It is considered a plus if experienced in the process of system testing to include Laboratory, Ground and Flight.

Clearance Requirements: This position could potentially require a Top Secret clearance at some point in time. The candidate doesn't have to currently hold a TS/SCI but at least be able to obtain one.

Salary range is $130,000 to $170,000 based on degree and experience.
