Job Description:

This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs

We seek a Full Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Huntsville, AL .

Hybrid schedule

If you are located in Huntsville, AL, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. This position is 50/50 remote.

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, clear Alabama PMHNP license

  • 2+ years of post-licensure experience

  • Proven ability to provide psychiatric assessment

  • Proven solid diagnostic and evaluation skills

  • Proven comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with older adults

  • Experience with couples or family counseling

  • Working with patients with chronic medical conditions

  • Experience with health psychology

  • Proven ability to counsel patients using advanced psychotherapeutic techniques, including in group settings, if needed

  • Proven ability to provide patient education, specifically regarding medication treatment adherence and aftercare services

  • Proven self-motivated, ambitious, and can quickly build rapport with clients
