TAD PGS, Inc. Network Administrator in Huntsville, Alabama

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aNetwork Administratorto join a leading Company located in theHuntsville, ALsurrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide an excellent customer service experience while supporting the customer's network devices like firewalls, switches, VPN , and wi-fi devices.

  • Ensure that customer's network devices are kept up to date with firmware patches.

  • Ensure that customer's network configurations are in line with the latest industry best practices to support availability and security goals.

  • Supporting internal corporate network infrastructure.

  • Support core mission objectives.

  • Configuring customer network devices to provide a reliable and secure network.

  • Proactively maintaining and updating network devices and configuration for corporate and customers.

  • Creating baseline configuration templates for customer networks and normalizing customer network configuration.

  • Maintaining documentation regarding customer networks.

  • Assist senior team members, consultants, and customers with on-site services as needed to accomplish tasks.

  • Respond to customer incidents as needed.

  • Assist with customer site surveys to determine wifi placement and recommend cabling placements.

  • Assisting with cable pulls and installation at the data center.

  • Research and implement automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • 1-3 years of network administration to include firewall administration

  • Network+ certification.

  • Proven experience managing Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco or other mainstream network infrastructure.

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience.

  • Experience in an MSP and/or an Agile environment is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills as this will be a customer facing role.

  • Ability to provide on-site services for customers.

  • In depth knowledge related to SMB network equipment such as firewalls, switches and wi-fi access points.

  • Solid understanding of networking principles and best practices.

  • Experience working inside of compliance frameworks like NIST, CMMC, SOC .

  • Experience with configuration frameworks like STIG.
