Job Overview:

APTIM is hiring to perform Installation Support Services for the United States Army Garrison Redstone (USAG-R) Department of Public Works (DPW) with our partner SUNIK. This include Pollution Controls, Compliance, Environmental Restoration Services, Landfill Operations, Engineering & Work Management Services, Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and Service Orders for Facilities, Waste Water, Steam and Infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Key Responsibilities:

  • A seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of mechanical engineering resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways

  • Broad application of principles, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering, plus working knowledge of other related fields

  • Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.

  • Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.

  • May perform in project leadership role and/or may supervise the activities of lower level personnel

  • Contributes to a team environment. Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues.

  • Break complex technical tasks into manageable subtasks.

  • Travel to site locations to provide engineering support, meetings with clients, and meetings at other company offices to support engineering efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 -- 10 years related experience.

  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and technical engineering software, some CADD experience (AutoCAD, REVIT and/or MicroStation) along with good verbal and writing skills.

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Field experience is a plus

  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities

  • FE and EIT candidates preferred.

  • PE is a plus
