Our Decision Science practice brings the latest advances in data science, data engineering and AI to the federal space. Balancing innovation with safety, security, and risk management, we support agencies from strategic assessments through the development and deployment of scalable generative AI applications. Our Federal Generative AI Center of Excellence brings together generative AI practitioners to design prototypes, scale pre-built solutions and accelerators, and apply models to the real-world mission challenges that federal agencies face every day.

As a Decision Science Delivery Lead, you direct a cross-functional team formulating real-world problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI, Machine Learning and Operations Research solutions. You lead teams and provide guidance to explore and implement new methodologies, model building techniques, and algorithms, and to apply these techniques with the right architecture to solve real-world problems. You will work collaboratively with teams & leaders from both the business and technical side, including users, use case representatives, business owners, engineers, architects, and designers, to achieve project goals. As a significant part of this role, you will be justifying the value of generative AI or traditional Machine Learning approaches (or a combination of both) in the business problems, and you'll be expected to guide construction of methodologies that clearly demonstrate their value.

The Work:

  • Provide positive, inclusive leadership and project management for a cross-functional technical and consulting delivery team, working from multiple US locations.

  • Maintain a visible presence with the client, account leadership and project team members and stakeholders through style recognition and relationship building, and effective written and verbal communications about technical and business topics.

  • Lead discussions to gather use case requirements, provide on the spot AI expertise and AI solution options for business problems.

  • Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements, ensuring that the solution meets the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

  • Define value for AI solutions; collaborate with the client and account leadership to estimate solution cost with appropriate technological choices, estimate return on investment and co-create and report on performance metrics and critical success factors.

  • Develop and execute an analytics or AI solution with team, timeline, fiscal and infrastructure dependencies, that includes solution planning, design, build, testing, deployment, service introduction, change management, project management and service support.

  • Guide team design, development, testing and implementation of AI/ML models, especially LLM and other Generative AI models. Collaborate with clients on comprehensive change management strategies that enable positive change from implementation of AI or analytic insights.

  • Create positive experiences and deliveries coordinating client and Accenture teams for functional and non-functional testing, including test strategy development and user acceptance testing. Lead co-creation of user and technical documentation, facilitating understanding, knowledge transfer and future development.

  • Coordinate with account leadership to deliver progress reports, track project financials and deliver within the commercial framework of the project in regard to contractual agreements, intellectual property claims, distribution rights and client data protection.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of technical team management.

  • Experience with delivery of solutions to US Federal government clients.

  • Minimum of 2 years of working knowledge with different technologies in the Generative AI domain.

  • Minimum of 2 years of working knowledge of on-premises and cloud information technology architecture, and familiarity with the fundamentals of GPU architecture.

  • Bachelor's degree in a field that provided a solid mathematical education.

  • Active Secret clearance or Interim Secret clearance.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$101,900—$164,299 USD
